Untitled Barack Obama Fantasy Adventure Film
In which Barack Obama is the protagonist of a fantasy adventure film. Set in modern times on another Earth locked in eternal winter. Mankind has become feudal once more. Warring factions settle grudges with black magic, swords forged from cold. Most people worship several gods. Monsters are common as are the bounties offered for slaying them.
Obama wanders bearded from town to homestead claiming to be the President of a nation once great called America. No one believes him or cares. He says he is in search of a dragon. He says he wants to be born again with the soul of a dragon. Dragonborn.
When no one will listen he recites speeches to himself between two handmirrors called Verses. Held aloft in either hand they create an infinite hallway with Obama centered therein. Most often this happens in forests or on empty roads, the snow falling silently through one man’s version of infinity, the snow always falling silently past his face reflected endlessly, an image broken and freighted with all the orphanhood of this frozen world, fragments, fragments.
We first see Obama mostly drunk at a wayside tavern. He’s an accomplished ventriloquist and throws his voice through a crowd of highwaymen and wild children, mother whores. When the barman demands payment Obama tries to barter, then tells him he’s the President. The barman says he’s also the President. Obama mutters a slur, is tossed into a ditch behind the jakes.
Starving and frozen Obama wanders through a silver woods. In a clearing he assaults a boy with a wheelbarrow of food, trying to drown the him in a frozen pond. After a brief struggle the child beats Obama over the head with a treebranch and escapes. The President weeps and eats a pile of icy vegetables, weeps and eats his tears.
Making camp in a blizzard a band of cannibal shaman find Obama buried in a snowdrift. They wear treated animal skins, the heads of bears. Some of them are branded with the symbol of the rap group Wu Tang Clan. They brandish staves and axes enchanted with arcane runes. One called Method Man wears a pair of great white wings taken from Pegasus that glitter as abalone in the moonlight. Several are elves and are immortal. With them comes a captive Griffin meant for trade in the next town.
Obama awakes naked tied to a tree. On his neck we see a tattoo depicting an eagle clutching a quiver of arrows. Around a smokeless fire the cannibals cast lots for his clothes, his mirror Verses. Some of them are copulating with the elves, which are neither male nor female.
In the night goblins mounted on boars attack the camp. During the battle Obama escapes and frees the caged Griffin. As a gesture of gratitude the Griffin permits a saddle, lifting off with Obama riding on its back, flying high above the snowy woods in which the trees are burning, set ablaze with bolts of magic.
Obama steers the Griffin what he believes is north, toward the mountain region. Toward what is called The Throat of the World. It’s winter and the Archer is in the sky. The Archer is always in the sky.
